Sacrifice isn't an issue. Think of Japanese gameshows - the person who gets covered in crap is often the loser. He doesn't just win because people feel sorry for him, or the competition would degenerate into a terrible farce in which each contestant tries to cover themselves in more crap than the others. That said, I wouldn't doubt for a second Takeshi's Castle have done that as a round at some point.
To be fair I'd rather like to see a gameshow entirely motivated by who gets covered in the most crap. It would be more entertaining if presented by Les Dennis.

Surely the one that gets covered in Pepsi is the one who made the largest sacrifice and therefore should win.
